When are the companies required to realease financial reports? In the financial reports, the companies must state how many consoles have been shipped, which is why I want to know. Is it Quartly? Annualy? Thanks.

Most release quarterly, at least MS, Nintendo, and Sony do.
Usually for the gaming industry we get reports for March, June, Sept, and Dec.

I don't think the companies are required to report their console shipments, nor are the methods of accounting standardized. This is demonstrated by Sony who changed the way shipments are counted to avoid embarassment.
Each company reports quarterly, but the annual statements are much more detailed.
