i think sony had only timed exclusivity for GTA games on ps2 cause later on GTA games were ported to xbox and that was the whole deal.

I know but you're getting into semantics. Need need I'm sure to tell you what having a game come out 9 months to a year later will do to sales.

dude....obviously. Did you not read the thread title before you came in here? This whole topic is on GTA5 being exclusive.....so yes you just agreed/prooved my point.

wheres the proof that GTA4 was EVER contracted for only PS3. I've never heard that. I think GTA4 was the exact same situation as FFXIII. Both companies were making rediculously expensive games and looked at the way they thought this gen was going. Both saw a great opportunity for multi-plat which would help offset the very high development costs.

There is no proof only rumor omg I gave you the reasons why I thought that there was some kind of contract for timed exclusivity. Mainly the trade off for the new IP. Why are we argueing over semantics?

simply because I don't agree with the reasons for your theory on a contract because the two reasons I posted. It just doesn't seem validated at all. Everyones entitle to their own theory I have no problem with you haveing yours. I just don't agree with it because the two main points I posted.

Sony have made alot of stupid mistake and this was another one. Lets move on
