No, I dont think the next Zelda would be megaton, i just think it's a significant announcement. The point I was trying to make is that just because I don't enjoy something, doesn't mean its not important. And "Megaton" is definetly overused, you're right on that. I just can't think of much bigger announcements that FFVII console remake exclusive. I mentioned Halo 4 going to another console (i dont think announcing something multiplatform is that big of a deal)...um....I'm really trying here...I can't think of anything bigger. I suppose some would argue that FF XIV announcement would be bigger, but I think there's more desire now for a HD FFVII than there is for a new FF, what with XIII coming.
I guess if you expand it beyond just game announcements, you could say a new system announcement, though even that is eventual anyway.

That's why SE would put it on the PSP as they could re-use a lot of the assets that were created for Crisis Core in a remake of FF7.

Hmm, this thread went downhill. Seriously, I posted this to hear some thoughts on what it could possibly be (sorry guys, that excludes FFVII:R) and some over the top nonsense for the lulz and we get a forum war....sad
Anyways, I think it's either MGS5 or Kingdom Hearts 3 announced, I honestly don't think that they will let this gen come to its conclusion without making KH3.
Ive never been a FF fan.. dont think ive played any of the games. And i keep reading about FFVII.. why is this game such a "megaton" announcement? Whats so special with this game?
