Forums - General - The official unemployment sucks thread

Minimum wage job-hunting sucks hideously, considering that you're applying for some of the more demeaning jobs, and still getting rejected, but i imagine its hard on everyone.

Feeling adrift, waiting all day for the damned phone to ring and provide me with gainful employment for the summer, horrible life.

Anyone wish to comiserate, or share some thoughts? The unemployed life is a hard one!

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Around the Network

Hey i'm about to fit into that description.

Thanks for bumming me out.

You think it sucks for you... I've got a college degree!

I'm gonna go from having my own department to... anything I can find.. as my store gets sold to Barnes and Nobles and I move to one of the few states with worse unemployment then Ohio. Nevada.

Granted more often then not i was the only person in my department... but hey when I had help I was the boss, hah.

I also get the fun of getting everything ready for the other guys... during the busiest time of the season... when i would usually have help but instead everyones hours are being cut.

Fun stuff.  Nice guys though.  I probably could stay on there if I wanted... but my girlfriend is going for her docterate and being apart 5 years isn't worth it.

College degree in Ohio, and not being able to use that degree toward a job?  I'm right there with you haha.

Well at least i'm not alone.

Heck my degree seems like it's a hinderance when I apply for jobs because people think I'm going to leave or something.
