Capcom has been teasing their fans for the past couple of days, releasing hints here and there regarding their secret E3 game. The company is at it once again today and has dropped off another hint.

“K, ‘nother hint: this franchise has never appeared on this hardware.”

That small blurb was released on Capcom’s official twitter page. Recently, people began to predict that the company’s title would be Monster Hunter 3. Technically, it’s still possible that the game is indeed Monster Hunter 3…But that depends on how you look at the statement above. I suppose we’ll have to wait until E3 to find out for sure.

It's not Monster Hunter, as G has already appeared in some places.

It's not the rumored Wii Resident Evil, either.

This is probably nothing, but I feel that it's a Wii game, as he didn't say 'this generation of hardware', just 'this hardware'. Could be either a 360 or PS3 game, too, but I don't see them making too many exclusives for those systems.

Might be a non-gimped Wii version of one of the franchises that are already on 360/PS3, maybe Bionic Commando or Devil May Cry.

Well there goes REmake2 for the Wii :(

maybe... Power Stone 3!!! that would be awsome, but it also can be on any of the three systems. i hope its on wii if the announce it.

* Breath of Fire
* Dino Crisis

My money is on Onimusha, its a successful franchise that has seen a lot of sale in the past but has no seen a current gen iteration on any platforms.

Why everyone assume it's for the Wii? They gave any clue about that? If not, I'll make my bet: Resident Evil PSP. Yeah.

There's a rumor about 5 big franchises to be announced for the PSP till the E3. I think one of them is Resident Evil for Sony's handheld. I sure hope so :P
