I remember you saying about it ages ago and shortly after BT and MS announced they were working on something to do with "BT Vision" then it all went silent, hopefully this will be very very good!

I predicted it even before that on www.beyond3d.com/forum

Anyway I think we've found a use for the Live camera thats been a badly kept secret up until now. It could be some sort of intuitive hands free interface. No need to find a remote and it allows for other services such as well, can't think of any at the moment though. Hmm actually with a HDD they could stream down games constantly. I mean whats the difference between an HD signal and a game broadcast for digital distribution?

no, its announced tomorrow.

Microsoft and Sky are expected to announce on Friday 29 May that the two companies have teamed together to offer gamers the chance to get Sky content without the need for a satellite dish.

Although nothing has as yet been confirmed by either party, that hasn't stopped journalists from numerous publications quoting un-named sources that the deal has been done.

Supposedly tying in with Microsoft's "entertainment hub" approach, the deal is expected to see Sky subscribers being able to access Sky player content through the console just like they can on their PC, Mac or mobile phone.

According to the Telegraph in the UK, "Possibilities include downloadable Sky content becoming available to Xbox users or potentially live feeds of Sky content through to the gaming console."

The news, if true, is likely to allow Microsoft to compete against Sony's PS3 and Nintendo's Wii consoles, both of which already offer the BBC's iPlayer service.

We will keep you posted.

Watch Sky TV via Xbox 360
Microsoft and Sky Television have created a killer app for Xbox 360.
Microsoft and Sky Television have signed a deal that will allow users to watch the Sattelite TV company's output via their Xbox 360.

Sky Player will be launched on Xbox 360 in the UK and Ireland in the autumn and will feature live and on-demand channels.

The actual list of available channels will be released at a later date though one expects that Premiership football and blockbuster movies will feature.

Xbox 360 owners will be offered a variety of different channel packages all accessed via their console. Meanwhile, existing Sky satellite subscribers will be able to make use of the service as a perk on top of their regular subscription - though not confirmed it would make sense if this was free for current Sky customers.

This looks like a huge win for Microsoft. It will be interesting to see the precise details once we get our hands on the full press release. Expect more on this tomorrow.
