Forums - Sony - Heavy Rain - Won't be ready for 2009

lol why are people assuming that sony will not show ny new games at E3.

let me remind everyone killzone + infamous have already been released this year, much better than the others games, plus theres exclusive ghostbusters to look forward to if u live in eu.

so ps3 owners have had a good lineup for the quite 1st half of year.

mabey it will be a good thing that heavy rain is delayed im really looking forward to that title, but in meantime im sure sony will release a solid lineup for rest fo year.

ps. u have to take full year into consideration not just 2nd half.

Let's say, hypothetically, that Sony announces.... hmm... 5 new big budget, AAA games. What are the chances that any of them would be on the market within 7 months?

So they will let GoWIII, GT5, FFVXIII, possibly MAG, the new Twisted Metal and Trico, all to release next year?
2010 year of the PS3 confirmed!!!1111!!111!

I would like to field some questions.

Why are people trotting out the old delay station routine. I split the word that makes it not as shall we say heinous. Just tossing out the words some are thinking about. Yes there was no release set for this game. No it did not stop many members on the side of the fence from proclaiming that it was going to release later this year as a fact. Once that happens you have two dates to defend the date that is yet to exist and the bullshit date. Do not take it personally its more a rip on our resident bullshit artists for over selling the situation.

Waiting for better is fine and good, but I for one would rather have a game to play rather then wait for a game to play. The situation depends on your wants and needs. Now if you find you are satisfied with the offerings then it has almost no impact. You can play something else while you wait, but if you have nothing to fill that hole then it has to hurt. Not all gamers are fans of a wide variety of genres. Those with more refined tastes need to be satisfied or they feel put out.

The talk of Sony having the best lineup is and was crap. Which is in no small part due to faulty logic. The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. The first week in June offers the companies plenty of time to pitch and advertise a holiday lineup. Microsoft and Nintendo have kept their holidays seasons hidden. Sony probably has more games. Finally we have no release dates. This is counting your chickens before they hated. Once again chalk it up to bullshit artists selling shit that has yet to materialize.

You know my best advice to anyone griping about such comments is to berate those making them even if they are on your side of the issue. Your also taking the crap when it blows back in their face, because nobody is going to discriminate if you yourself are not drawing the distinction.

^I think it'd be easier if VGChartz members stoned people who love to put giant random games list to prove their system is "superior". I see this done for all console and it's ridiculous, almost nobody makes a realistic list. Everyone lists titles that are either vaporware, have no release date but the poster is convinced it will come this year, or just plain fills it up with BS.

Usually it's a combination of the 3 and usually the game list arguments always end in the same manner; your list is BS, your list is vapor, your list isn't coming this year. But already at that point the damage is done some people read the list and go yah that game will come this year you betcha!

As for whether Heavy Rain was delayed or not, doesn't matter. The fact is according to the creator the game won't be coming out this year, so plan your gaming purchases on something else, and be ready to enjoy Heavy Rain next year. Easy this thread shouldn't need 11 pages of bickering.

The talk of Sony having the best lineup...is....was.....and ALWAYS will be......OPINIONATED!

For someone who touts themselves as "the voice of reason", you shouldn't have to be told this.

Opinions are crap. (That was his implicit premise)

Tease.

who has the most games announced as of now? SONY. who has the momentum going into e3? SONY. it is not about one game getting delayed or about which game will sell the most out of the 2 hd systems this holiday season, it is about the system owners us,so i hope with all that sony has done for their supporters by finally delivering the great games that are on the horizon, you very vocal lot on here better support them with your wallets because so far you have let them down the sales of LBP and killzone comes to mind, sony act is coming together what about yours? I LOVE GAMES

Ugh, before the list warz go any further, wouldn't it be smarter to wait until AFTER E3, you know, the Super Bowl of the Gaming Industry, to see what the big three have ready for the end of the year?

And Reeves could have been true saying it's a 2009 title. We don't know if he was talking Fiscally or not. I really don't understand why this hasn't already been talked about in this thread. He easily could have meant fiscally, but bloggers and such thought it meant Calendar. And Sony's own Press Releases talk about the game coming out in Fiscal 2009, or they just say 2009 which could mean fiscally. In no way was the game ever confirmed for a Calendar year 2009 release, so claiming anything as such is foolish.

Why must people jump to conclusions? Urgh

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

That sucks. I was so hyped for this game.
