Mother 3 is the most emotionally affecting piece of media I have ever seen.

Well, yes, if you've found EVERY FF better then EVERY Tales, then Vesperia won't make you think that Tales games are better then FF games. However, I can almost assure you that after playing it you'd see how many of us can find Vesperia being better then all recent FF games.

Keep them. Tales of Vesperia was fantastic, but I'm not sure if it would beat out any of my top 5 FFs.

Same. IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X and XII, I thought, were all better than ToV.

That's not to say that ToV wasn't a fantastic game, it really was.

However, the other 3 Tales games that I've played ranged from average to really bad, so I think the Final Fantasy series easily wins this one.

Well, then they should put it on DSiWare or Virtual Console, so that more of us that want to experience it can do so.

It's a pretty good series. I'd recommend it. Anyways this one's a tough choice since out of the FF series i've only played FFVI, FFIV, and FFTA and out of the Tales series I've played Abyss and Phantasia(Gba). I guess I would choose Tales for battle system and I lean on FF side when it comes to story line (especially FFVI). Now I really need to play Vesperia and Symphonia to see what the fuss is all about.

I'm sure you'll think ToV is a great game but judging by how much you love FF12 i don't think you'll love it better then it. Whats you least favorite FF game anyways?

Out of the games I've played... either VII or VIII.

Well in my opinion ToV is better then both games. I thought FF7 was great but thought FF8 was too much of a chore. ToV to me beat both games in almost every aspect. Better characters (Yuri Lowell>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cloud and Squall though i liked Cloud), better combat system (FF7 battle system was cool while FF8's was not so cool), Better storyline (though Part 3 of ToV was not as good as Part 1 and 2 but it was still cool and i liked FF7's storyline). The only thing about FF7 and FF8 i would put above ToV is music. Make sure to get the PS3 version of ToV if it comes to the states.

Really, the characters? Yuri was cool, everyone else was terrible. I especially hated estelle and karol. Terrible, terrible. Also, while i liked TotA's story somewhat, and thought ToS was decent story-wise, I thought Vesperia was terrible. It was nothing new AND executed badly, as opposed to nothing new and executed sometimes quite well (FF).

FF it's expensive and it shows.
tales its cookie cutter JRPG with good cookie cutter, but no where near the incredible detail FF main line series have.


Every FF is different from story, characters, music and gameplay.
each texture, animation and sound are done by incredible artists.
