I'm sure you'll think ToV is a great game but judging by how much you love FF12 i don't think you'll love it better then it. Whats you least favorite FF game anyways?

Keep them. Tales of Vesperia was fantastic, but I'm not sure if it would beat out any of my top 5 FFs.

Out of the games I've played... either VII or VIII.

Well in my opinion ToV is better then both games. I thought FF7 was great but thought FF8 was too much of a chore. ToV to me beat both games in almost every aspect. Better characters (Yuri Lowell>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cloud and Squall though i liked Cloud), better combat system (FF7 battle system was cool while FF8's was not so cool), Better storyline (though Part 3 of ToV was not as good as Part 1 and 2 but it was still cool and i liked FF7's storyline). The only thing about FF7 and FF8 i would put above ToV is music. Make sure to get the PS3 version of ToV if it comes to the states.

the tales series is not that good, people like it because of real time battles, on screen monsters and dual good/bad sides, it still doesn't make you stare in awe everytime you enter a new and it doesn't complete renovate their system with every game like FF do, so over time FF feels more fresh, eventhough its older.

Final fantasy by far especially FFIX and X and to some extant XII,The only Tales game i've played and have is vesperia and symphonia.

Final Fantasy. The Tales games have generally been very generic titles that Namco tries to use to attract rpg gamers but most have lacked the heart and artistry to be found in FF games thus they generally get much lower reviews and sales.

Final Fantasy, no competition really.

Final Fantasy for me. I've only played the first seven and only two Tales games so it was an easy decision. ToV recently had a price drop on Amazon so I broke down and ordered it. I'll get back into modern FFs when XIII comes out.
