If we were going to preemptively invade someone, Iraq was definitely the wrong target.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Sigh that's what all the bullshit policy of resolving problems through peace talks brings to the world.

Single mission of Israeli fighters stopped Iran nuclear program for over 10 years and it should be repeated soon in that area.

For similar solution in NK is too late unfortunatly.

Now with multiple small nations receiving access to limited number of nuclear warheads and strategic rockets I'd say it's time to revive SDI aka "Star wars" project.

And even then if it works intercepting missile on the way from NK to Japan would result in a huge exploasion in stratosphere and immesurable economic loses from destroyed electronic equipment in the area.

I dunno I mean in the Civilization games SDI only had like a 75% success rate.

Man that was the thing about Civilization... you'd get nukes, but SDI defense would come with them so it was almost impossible to use them... and even if you did everyone got all pissed off... even though no one got pissed at the US about it.  So your allies at least should of stayed your friends.

Besides, are you really going to want to go to war with someone that just reduced a 15 city to 1 and put a whole bunch of cowskulls all around it?

I am fairly certain that you are confusing Iran with Iraq. Israel bombed Iraq's Osirak reactor in 1981 and crippled the site until the US utterly destroyed it during the First Gulf War. Anyway, after today's revelations, it appears as if NK has decided to vociforously rattle its sabre. They are being more vocal than they normally are.
