Forums - Gaming - PSP VS DSI Cnet Prize fight. Guess which one wins?

I can see where they are coming from. But the sheer size of the ds's great game library should make the call for people looking to buy one. I for example Have a ds as my main RPG game system.

I'm a handheld guy, I own both, don't really agree. DS at least edges out the PSP.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

oBVIOUSLY THE PSP IS BETTER BUT THE GAMES. oH HOW BORING MOST OF THEM ARE.

Mind Boggling.....

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Id have to wonder what the criteria was for performance - i would think that the DS' almost 3x the battery life of the PSP should be a major factor for a handheld, and i would think thats a performance issue, no?

um..stuff

Considering the one thing that defines handhelds is the fact that you can play them anywhere without being plugged into a wall, then yes, the amount of time you can stay away from an outlet is the most important performance factor.  It's how the original Game Boy was the best-selling handheld without a single improvement from 1989 to 1998 (when the Game Boy Color came out).  It took down every single competitor, and most of the competitors had color and far superior tech.

Sad but true.  I loved my Game Gear and its games so much... despite almost needing to be plugged into the wall via AC when played.

Library should've been an easy 5 for DS. One of the best game libraries on any system, easily the best handheld ever. I don't think people realize the amount of quality titles on DS. I'd say its library is almost comparable to systems like the PS2, NES and SNES. For game library PSP should be like 1.5-2, and DS should be 4-5. PSP doesn't have much of a lineup compared to most systems.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.
