Montana, what similar offering have these companies you mentioned offered? To my knowledge, this is the first live quiz game, replete with prizes and host, playable by anyone.

Continue to add on qualifications. Other titles based on game shows have been released (Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Family Feud), and while they were all fairly successful, none of them moved huge numbers or did anything for the console they were on. If you really believe that millions of people will buy a 360 for one game where they can win prizes, continue to think that way. I won't stop you, but it's not going to come true.

Montana, you're comparing erroneously. There has never been a game like this. Those were video games of a game show. They were simulations if you will. 1 vs. 100 is not a game you can buy in gamestop. It's gonna be a part of xbox live and it's gonna be an actual game show. Not a simulation. A virtual gameshow with real hosts and real people playing against each other in real time. There are gonna be broadcasts for godsake. There is no game or situation to look back and compare to.

I don't see how people can compare this to any other gameshow game that has came out. It is a video game(but in a sense it is like saying watching Jeopardy is a video game) but you are playing live with a chance to win prizes. There has never been anything like this before (that I can recall) and I will be there from day one. Now I am a huge quiz show fan (DVR them all) and this has me more excited than any game that is coming out until Christmas.

The concept of this game is great. It is free meaning no hardware to buy and you are there live trying to answer questions as quick as possible. Just think if you were picked to be the one. My heart would be racing a mile a minute, no other video game can claim title to that.

I just think this game is going to be great and alot of people out there don't really get what it is all about. Anywhoo I will see some of ya on 1 v 100 (hopefully).

I'll add my vote for there being nothing like this to compare to as well. This is the first game outside of Rock Band that my wife has played with me on the 360 and the day after we tried the first night beta she was asking if it was "on" again that night (just one real world example). I don't think it would make someone run out and buy a 360 just for this game, but if they can build off of this and start to include other games like it (say the MS Live Game Show Network?) I could defintely see it perking more casual players' interests.

Consoles Owned: Atari 2600, NES, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, N64, Gamecube, Wii, XBOX360

Gazz, how does the ds situation compare to this one? did they give away real prizes? i think that the inclusion of real prizes will draw in some new people. will it be a big boost who knows. just stop comparing it to other that came before ok.

well, how nightstrikerx explains it as, it sounds pretty awesome!

So hard to lurk when ya guys keep bringing me up. Alright, so 100 vs 1 being a important exclusive and system seller? Yes and no.

While 1 vs 100 is a fantastic gaming experience, it like many other games comes with it's flaws. Yes, the aspect of winning free MS points and Arcade games are fun. But only if you're good enough to be in the mob or potentially the one. Thoughout my entire time in Beta, I've only seen 1 person win 10, 000 MS points as the One. I've seen hundreds win Arcade games and much lower numbers of MS points. This is coming from a group of almost 16, 000 gamers.

The biggest thing about 1 v 100 is it's the only Xbox Primetime lineup they have at the moment. Seasons will consist of 13 episodes stretched amongst a entire season, what does that mean. Their could be 52 episodes a year, or their could only be 13, and at 2 hours a show. This limits the total hours you can put into 1 vs 100 to 26 hours. Not including extended plays which I'm not sure how they will scatter in season 1.

I definately believe that 1vs 100 is a important step in the xbox's development. But it's only the beginning of Xbox Live Primetime. Hopefully they will announce another primetime game this E3 and continue to build on what NXE has brought us. Untill then, 1 vs 100 will be a nice bonus to Xbox Live Gold Members. We shouldn't expect a system seller until the primetime lineup becomes strong enough to begin bringing more silver members into the fold, and finally. More players onto xbox

If they reach that point.
