Forums - Gaming - I figured out why Nintendo makes the same games over and over again

The ignore user option is great! Thx Words of Wisdom!

It's weird that you say that because there are only a few other franchises in gaming that have maintained similar or growing sales with each iteration. Halo, FF, MGS, GT, GTA, and RE come to mind.

I also think it's not a question of making new IP, it's more a question of quality. Can we really say that IP like Elite Beat Agents, Electroplankton, Brain Age, etc. are in the same calibur as Mario, Zelda, and Metroid?

Pixel Art can be fun.

I agree with this I mean just look at the game cube. Even know it had a fairly short life span and sales were lackluster a few highly reviewed new ip's came from it.

Besides the marios, zelda, star fox, metroid, etc.. remakes you had
Pikmin, battalion wars, fire emblem (on console), animal crossing, etc...
I believe some of those games are of the same caliber as Mario or Zelda.

They make teh moneyz, giving them the ability to make further the moneyz. So long as they continue to make money on their stagnation/innovation (whichever way you choose to view it), they will continue to do so.
