@ CGI: Killzone 2 originally started life as a Wolf 3d clone and developed from there. So its been in development for almost 20 years.

Halo 3 looks better then Killzone 2. Look see I can be sarcastic too!! Though more often then not these attempts at humor are are more tragic then sarcastic.

Halo 3 sold more in it's first hour than Killzone 2 did in it's first month....See I too can be....Wait.....Nevermind...I just failed at being sarcastic

Here let me help you. "Nintendogs has not outsold Halo 3 by close to 12 million".

Yeah you better bring up Halo 3 sales because you'll never find a link in which MS claims that the 360 is more powerful then PS3. They would get sued for false advertising. But keep up the posts of 360fanboy made youtube videos.

;)

Lol here the guy never mentions for a second that the 360 is more powerful then the PS3. He's actually argueing that the PS3 is too ahead of it's time that people should't switch to bluray just stick with DVD.

“It’s two, three years ahead of the market,” he said. “People won’t want to replace their entire DVD collections, and they’ll get a better resolution with a standard DVD on an Xbox than a PS3.” "He conceded that the PlayStation’s graphics would give the Xbox a run for its money". The actual implication is that PS3 is more powerful but that 360 has better games. A good arguement for 2006.

Spin from 2005? A year and a half before the PS3 even comes out?

Lol moar FUD from 2006/2007? This time you don't even bother to get a quote from MS. From now on everytime you post FUD from 2-3 years ago remind yourself how dated your arguements really are. Your youtube posts were as old and outdated as your HD-DVD add-on.

atleast it's nice to know that you guys run in packs

No, the PS3 is more powerful. The problem is that the difference in the games isn't so large.

Nintendo was kinda correct in saying that graphics have reached a plateau; though there's a pretty big difference between Wii and PS3/360 games. However, the difference between the games on PS3 and 360 won't be very significant. You can say that Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 both look better than anything the 360 can produce, but will any of that really matter in the end?

Both systems will produce some good looking games that only enthusiasts will be able to nitpick to death. The difference, again, isn't so great and is probably comparable to the PS2-Xbox gap.

The difference between the Xbox and PS2 was pretty significant. If you couldn't tell a difference, then you need to see an optomotrist

Nice. Rather than offering these "significant" differences you're resulting to saying I need to see an eye doctor.

There were some good looking games on the PS2. While they didn't look as good as the best from the Xbox, the difference wasn't significant. I really don't care about this semantics argument, so if anybody actually cares about continuing it they can back me up or disprove me with screens of God of War (I and II) among others. And then they can offer screens of Halo 2. I still won't care.

Really, now.

yep...the usual suspects... one a classic sony fanboy, the other a fanboy in disguise. One states opinion as fact in a soundbite - sony style , the other tries to justify opinion as fact by using pseudo intellect, spurious facts and anecdotal evidence.

MOST reasonable people would AGREE that there is virtually nothing in it either way.

Please just think about it logically... the difference (if there is one) is so tiny that a debate about its existance can still be had. If the difference was tangible and readily visible that debate couldnt even start.

I was just about to post this. 3 PS3 fanboys only (including Megadude with that useless comment) is pretty good for 6 or 7 pages of a thread.

I tend to agree with OP on this one.

Time and funding are clearly bigger factors than hardware between the PS3 and 360.

I mean look at Resistance 2 and Gears 2, they aren't massive leaps over their predecessor because they only had about 2 years. I also believe that Uncharted 2 won't be as big of a leap from Uncharted 1 as some people are expecting. Yes I've seen the videos, it looks great, but so did Uncharted 1. I'm expecting a Gears 1 to Gears 2 leap (obviously on an already better level, but the difference would be the same).

I'd be surprised if by the end of this generation, we see a game from either platform coming out that is graphically superior to anything on the other platform in every technical aspect (artistic style is definitely subjective in terms of appreciation).

we... have never agreed on anything before. lol

it feels great. it's like i'm rallying everyone away from the false gods of fanboyism.

Well, it wasn't done by me. *whistles innocently*

For the record, I do disagree with you, though. It's not because I'm a fanboy of Sony (I'm not), I just calls it like I sees it. :P

as long as you're not quoting "the cell" or any other sony PR, you're free to disagree and you won't get any comments from me :P

360 games could have way better graphics but they dont want to take 4 years to make a game (unless you look at alan wake but then again its a PC version so it could be 8 years)

Too human took nearly a decade.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
