For once I'm envious of a Wii title.........I always felt that a" grudge" announcement would come , but this caught me off guard.....F#$% I wanted this game .

It's not on rails, it just doesn't use the nunchuk, you move forwad with the B button and backwards, down on the d-pad and interact with the A button.
Cool... I like survivor horror games and the Wii has somehow become the system of choice for them (perhaps because they are a little too niche for HD console $$$ development?).
Not too sure how good a game this will actually turn out to be, I'm still more interested in Silent Hill but the more to choose from the merrier!
In October? That's impressively prompt. Localization must already be well on the way. XSEED is getting to be quick on its toes.
As to why these games are coming to Wii, I think Gamerace is right that publishers find it hard to justify HD-sized budgets for the survival/horror niche. There's a reason why the Resident Evil series has been moving away from horror and deeper into the action. Nevertheless, the success of Resident Evil 4 and UC on Wii might be seen by some publishers as evidence that the Wii audience is receptive to survival/horror titles, even though neither game is truly survival/horror.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

Sorry, but NO! I am very very very very chicken-hearted, this game is not for me.
