Hello all

I'd like to add an "internet subculture" related section in my bookshop. Stuff that would get young people like you back into bookshops. Stuff like :

Gospel of the flying spaghetti monster,

Creationism versus Evolutionism (Dawkins, Hitchens, McGrath, etc.),

Xenophobe guides (Kiwis, Germans, Greeks, French, etc.)

and all those modern debates/rants/essentials that would help getting threads flaming.

So please give away the titles (and the afferent authors) of books that you feel would fit into this very loose category.

Are you targetting the people in the "internet subculture" or people who wish to learn about the "internet subculture?"

If it's the former then it seems to me that the people most likely to enjoy "internet subculture" related things are likely to be sitting at home in front of a computer instead of in a bookshop.  If these people are interested in books then they're also the group of people most likely to just order them online.

If it's the latter then I'm not sure.  Most of the people who write books on the internet seem to have little grasp of what it's actually like beyond CNN.com.

It's the former. And i do hope it will attract people likely to "enjoy "internet subculture" related things" as they can just sit and read inside the store.


Meh, i may be wrong but it's worth trying...
