I wonder if I'm doing the friend codes right. I haven't ever exchanged them until now. Do I have to enter your Wii's code into my console as well? And how do I accept? My friends request page is still empty.

Don't worry about Wii codes, not needed (maybe for WiiSpeak - not sure, I don't have it yet). 

Just enter their friendcode and if they have added yours to their you will see them - although it still showed friends as zero until we were both online at the same time (not sure if that's required or it just took a while).

I think the friend request is for when you want to add a friend of a friend - not sure.
