The more I think of it, the more it seems like this.

The Conduit is a great game, not amazing, not AAA, not revolutionary.
But what it is, its the beginning, its the start of amazing FPS games on the Wii.
Its the start of bringing core games to the Wii, customizable controls will be on more games.
Online will not be overlooked anymore, more Wii Speak games.
If this takes off.

It could be the beginning of something great.



 

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

Really?  *rollseyes*  I love my Wii but the 360 totally puts it to shame when it comes to making online an easy, streamline process.

I just read the manual and it says that even people without WiiSpeak will be able to hear all the smack talk so I don't think we have to exchange Wii FCs.

Yeah, I was just playing online, and Some girl was talking before and after the match... But I had a mute symbol before, during, and after the entire game... And I DO have WiiSpeak, and it's turned ON.

It does have some revolutionary concepts (and many other firsts) though:

- 97% Customizable controls (some controls can't be mapped to motions, and there are no toggle/hold options)

- Fully Customizable HUD (Hehehe, My radar is in the middle of my screen, with 45% transparency)

- 2nd WiiSpeak-compatible Title

- 1st 3rd Party WiiSpeak Title

- Wii FPS that looks better than Halo (not 3)

- First Special/Limited Edition Wii Game

 

 

I'm sure there are others, but I think you get my point

There was  a girld playing The Conduit. WOW. My wife playes video games, but I could never get her to play and FPS that wasn't something like Fallout or Daggerfall.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Yeah, and on the menu it showed a little speech bubble that you could click, and when you clicked it, it asked if you wanted to mute her... I wish I knew how this works... T_T
