Forums - Nintendo - There is a big difficulty discontinuity in Punch-Out!!

At least, this is the first one i've encountered, Aran Ryan. I mean, Great Tiger's tells were easy enough to track, but suddenly you're pitched against this guy who you can hardly land a Star Punch on if you try, and you have to use an "exploit" to get more than one hit consecutively

Took me like 5 practice runs to get his patterns down, where it only took me one or two for everyone else so far.

I seem to remember joystiq's review of the game speaking of the discontinuity in difficulty when you jumped from the major circuit to the world circuit, i just didn't realize it would be so great.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I didn't have any problems with him, beat him my first try. You just have to punch him before he punch's you. He actually has really simple timing, and if you hit him before he hits you, he is stunned and you can get multiple hits. In fact, your coach even tells you after the first round how to win.

I thought he was pretty simple once I realized you have to hit him before he hits you.

he wasn't that bad....macho man took me the longest. second playthrough is alot tougher....just got to piston honda

I found Piston Honda to be more difficult than anyone else in the major circuit which I thought was odd too. Bald Bull was really tough though, took me many, many tries. Super Macho Man doesn't seem too bad. I can just imagine title defense will be impossible.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

Bald Bull should be one of the easiest guys in the game. All you have to do is counter his bull rush and you're set.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

title defense mode is such a bitch that after I beat van, I decided to do 1 per day from that point on.

I'm scared to get this game now. I had Super Punch-Out and I sucked at it. I was so bad at that game it's not even funny.

Add me on Xbox Live: TopCat8

it's worth it just to watch the animation at work, and it's not that hard until you have to figure everything out and do things perfect for title defense, i literally restarted at least 20 times on van kaiser just to figure out how to safely TKO him without being knocked down once which is fkn' lol.
