Forums - Sales - Koei, Square Enix Also Scaling Back E3 Presence (afraid of the swine flu!)

According to Joystiq, the Kingdom Hearts III got hit so will not be attending E3.

    link?

But even without KH3, there were supposed to be 3 SE new game announcements, including the new MMO. So this news are very dissapointing indeed.

I'm thinking it was a joke. x.o

Uh, then I guess I didnt get it.

Lots of companies are restricting or at least advising against travelling to USA and Mexico. Probably to avoid getting sued by employees who get sick after travelling.

This usually doesn't mean no trips can happen... it just means that non-essential travel is discouraged. Certainly their presence at E3 isn't essential travel, so it's normal it would be scaled back.

What a lame excuse. Conferences are held all around the world despite this swine flu. Either way, it's not like it's hard to cure.

Why would it be an excuse? Do you think they don't want to go to E3?

This is getting to be idiotic. The Swine Flu isn't particularly lethal. Unless you have lung ailments, or have a weak constitution you really have nothing to fear. Which to be honest explains most of the deaths in Mexico. With its extremely poor air quality controls, and poor health care. What do we have a handful of first world deaths. When it is very likely that the infection rate is ten times higher then seen on the news. Due in large part to most people not going to the doctor for the flu.

This is a flu that is slightly worse then the average flu. I am getting a little frustrated with people blowing it way out of proportion.

The regular flu has killed 150,000 ppl...swine killed 1 and it was a baby i Mexico, the same way you protect yourself from flu is the same steps foe swine flu

I meant THIS CURRENT outbreak

Maybe it's just because they don't have much new stuff to show...using the swine flu as an excuse.
