Ok, this article seems to contradict itself. Explain how both these quotes can be true.

 

"A terror suspect detained at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, will be transported to the United States for trial in a civilian court, two Obama administration officials said."

"The U.S. Senate passed a measure Wednesday that would prevent detainees at Guantanamo Bay from being transferred to the United States for now. The measure passed with overwhelming bipartisan support in a 90-6 vote."

Transferred is talking about housing the all detainees in the U.S. permanently.  Moving individuals for trial is different.

Pretty much Obama just has to come forward with a plan to house the detainees (i.e. a state will most likely volunteer to take them, California said something about doing it today) and then Congress will vote on it.  We've honestly got people in our prison system right now who are much more dangerous than almost all of these detainees, so I don't see what the fuss is about.  Good hot button issue I guess.

If you went to every US prison, and polled the inmates this question:

If you could remove the US from the map, murdering the 300 million people living here, would you do it?

You will get no one that would say yes.

There only paranoid because of past events. Its the same in England. If we become complacent and view it as over then for sure they will strike again.

If you could remove the US from the map, murdering the 300 million people living here, would you do it?

You will get no one that would say yes.

Poll Gitmo, and see what you get.

I'm all for putting them in the general population.

Could you imagine what a few of those Bubbas would do to those guys? They'll be screaming for more Gitmo and waterboarding within an hour.
