Knowing these forums, even if every Wii owner bought 2 copies on the first day, there would still be at least one serious post about how it bombed.

Anything less than 300,000 on launch is a bomb imo.

I think it has to do at least 350k first week worldwide to hold back the Wii haters (PS360 fanboys).

If you just consider Wii's userbase (not its users) it should do around 1-1.5m at least in first week, but I say it should get 300k at least in first week.But I bet around 100k in first week.

For intelligent people, it only has to open to 135k-175k

For rabid fanboys, no number will be enough. They will continually move goalposts to bash the Wii ad nauseum.

"It still got outsold by Wii Fit"...blah blah blah

Even if it pulls a miracle and sells a few hundred thousand in the first week you will still see a topic saying something it only sold because it was on wii hyped by fanboys then they will blabber how it would have never sold on 360 or PS3 because they have better games.

You can never win.

For me personally, anything over 100k means it did good.

Anything over 200k is a hit

Under 50k is a flop.

If lifetime > 1.2 million, Great Success!
