As far as the stretch to September is concerned, 360 has a couple exclusive JP releases like Magna Carta 2, Gears of War 2, and Ninety-Nine Nights II to look foward to, but it's not much particularly in comparison with the PS3's JP summer exclusives consisting of Atelier Rorona, Agarest Senki Zero, Trinity Universe, and Katamari Forever. In Europe the situation far more balanced with 360 recieving Star Ocean: The Last Hope and Tales of Vesperia while the PS3 recieves Agarest Senki and Cross Edge. Nothing major seems to be coming for either console in America.

Pretty much everything is going to come down to what Microsoft and Sony announces at E3 this year. Microsoft is likely going to need either a big exclusive game such as Forza Motorsport 3 to launch this summer or a new pricing strategy to continue to outsell the PS3 until Autumn. However, if Sony issues a price drop for the PS3 as their fiscal projection suggests, then there really isn't anything Microsoft can do aside from match Sony's cut dollar for dollar, but their only in a position to do that if it's $50 or less.

Even after E3 im not convinced. It was an awesome show, and Natal could be the next big thing. But it might as well be too little, too late. If we need to wait till Fall 2010, thats still a long way and that means many ps3/wii's sold to potential customers

If nothing else happens the relative and % gap towards the end of the year will increase as a more casual userbase buys more consoles and price and not brand loyalty become more important.

They really need some new IP's IMO. Everytime there is a new exclusive 360 game it's usually a spin-off or yet another sequel.
