Forums - Gaming - what multiplatform games were developed on the PS3 first?

Was Street Fighter 4?

Around the Network

the magic word here is "were", so the games are already released:

DEVIL MAY CRY 4
Burnout Paradise
Mirrors edge
Unreal Tournament 3

Assassins creed (started on Ps3 then moved to 360, thats why the ps3 one is glitchier)

Currently Playing: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3), White Knight Chronicles (PS3), PES 2010 (PS3), Killzone 2 (PS3)

Games to Finish: Silent hill Homecoming (PS3), Valkyria Chronicles (PS3), Oblivion (PS3)

Ghostbusters: the Video Game

-edit-

I should clarify, the engine was built with the PS3 in mind first and the game was more or less developer across PS3 and 360, though don't think the clarification matters much since the engine is the important part here.

No..Street fighter 4 was developed on the Taito Type X 2

So the following multi-platform games seem to have been developed with PS3 as the lead platform

- Burnout Paradise
- Call of Duty 4
- DEVIL MAY CRY 4
- Mirrors edge
- RE 5
- Dirt
- Tekken 6
- Assasin's creed **
- Unreal tournament 3*

*this is doubtful since unreal has so many issues with PS3. Almost all unreal engine based games have issues on PS3. IS unreal Tournament 3 not based on Unreal 3?

**Assassin's creed is also doubtful, does anyone have a link to support this?

Assassin's Creed (It was exclusive at first)

nope, made on 360 engine and ported over.  problem with a lot of early games this gen is the 360 had the dev kits out way before sony.  So developers would use those dev kits to make the game, and then port it over to the ps3 when they got the ps3 dev kits.  Assassins creed was this way.

I believe PS3 dev kits were already out before a 360 version was even announced.

*** removed RE5 as according to some sites it was developed for PC first and then ported to PS3 and XBOX360

** Removed Assasin's creed -- can I get a link to support this?

could have been, it doesn't mean that the game hadn't been in development for a long time before that.  Ubisoft started making that game when they got the 360 dev kit.  If you recall, it was first shown off as an xbox 360 game at the X05 event.
