This is just starting to get sad. People need to stop defending the PS3, and just enjoy the library of games you do have. I can relate, honestly. I had a GameCube as my main console last gen. Sure, it was last in sales, often mocked by PS2/Xbox fanboys, pretty much everything the PS3 is facing. Yet, there were some solid exclusives that I wouldn't have given up for a different console. Eternal Darkness, Wind Waker, Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil Zero were among the list of unique games that were excellent.
I did not, and do not, regret my purchase, as PS3 owners shouldn't. That said, you are going to have to accept that it is too late to make a recovery to regain ground. Great games will come to the PS3 as exclusives, but don't expect a major shift of fortune to come out of hardware sales due to them. Minus for FF13, most of the big guns are out on the PS3.
This doesn't mean that "Sony is doomed!!!", Sony has a ton of money, and while it sucks to lose a bunch, they'll lick their wounds and not be such an arrogant company next generation.
As for now, you Sony supporters will go through what GameCube owners went through last generation - a bunch of games that don't find their way to your system, developers snubbing their noses at your console. Just enjoy the games you do have and stop getting upset with it falling in last place in this gen's console sales. If you're happy with the games you have, that's all you need.
