Forums - Gaming - Will there ever be a clear cut winner this generation?

Yeah Wii is the winner of this generation, whether people like it or not. it sells most hardware and software and it will continue this year for next few years.

If your talking sales then yes Wii will win this gen. If your talking quality games then the wii is dead last.

Well quality is only a matter of taste, for me Wii has the best games. And Metacritic means absolutely nothing.

No, there won't be a ps2 this gen. 360 might come close though.

The bias is strong with this one.

and the pipe dream of the year goes to...........

Nintendo obviously is a winner because I don't think too many gamers were backing them at the start of the generation... So they have really come out and shown that they can still make a good console experience.

Microsoft is clearly a winner because the 360 was supposed to melt in the prescence of the PS3... Here we are two years later and PS3 still hasn't put Microsoft in the dust... Microsoft has solidly established their console everywhere except Japan.

Sony is clearly the winner for physical media and graphical capability... PS3 helped blu-ray become the HD media format of choice and Killzone 2 no matter what anyone says is the best looking game on a console so far.

All the manufacturers have gotten something from this generation. Guarantees at least another round or a longer fight to see if a winner can come out.
