Back in the PS2 days, TH games sold many millions |
Uh, the reason why they sold so well back then was because Tony Hawk was extremely popular back then. The guy was huge. But right now, Tony Hawk isn't huge. His name wont be selling point for most people. I highly doubt people will want to pay $150 to play a tony hawk game just cause it has a peripheral unless you are a huge Tony Hawk fan. I see this game as heading for a big flop.
by the end of this generation the running joke will be "MSFT exclusive!!!! .... until 6 months when the money they paid runs out" Seriously, at least with ghostbusters Sony and Atari or whoever is publishing didnt try to claim exclusivity and informed, with respect, to other console owners its coming....but Fallout DLC, Eternal Sonata, Bioshock, The JRPG arms game cant remember the name.....its like MSFT constantly claims exclusivity to try and dupe consumers into thinking its ONLY going to be on their console, im so effing sick of it to be honest as a gamer..
I frown upon buying exclusivity but accept it as business, but when you buy 6 months it just pisses me off to tout it and try to trick people who may feel the need to buy a console because of exclusive bonuses only to find out the console they had, with some patience, will get it too. It just seems beyond lame....at least in this one argument Sony has more class with the ghostbusters timed deal.
I'm just glad there's another Hawkster game on the way.
I didn't like Proving ground but loved playing Project 8 online on the ol' 360.
Happy days.
I find the reacton to this news to be despicable. Why?
1. People bitched and Moan when Sony did the same thing.
2.They "forgot" that Sony didn't actually do it out of spite, it was to help out Atari.
3. It's suddenly okay for MS to do something that Sony was lambasted for?!
