-final fantasy is strong in japan.
-that was the only decent FF on psp...
-the pokemon game is not one of the main series.
but still ff lost against pokemon...in japan...
the series is dying...
the series started dieing after they didnt release 11 like it did, 5 year gap before 12, only to be dissapointed with that (well me and others were, some loved it)
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

I'm sure FF is more than decent 
Either way, FFXIII may suck, but it's highly unlikely...same with MGS4

x360 will do well but only for the pc games alike...
soon or after console gamers will come to boring of those games...
bs2,gow2,fm3...and so on...
next year or later pc will catch x360 and pass on graphics...
then pc gamers will return or thei beloved pcs...
the only advantage is that Darth Gates forced developers on pc/x360 platform...
prove is carnack "love" for directx...
the one that loved so much linux and open gl now istantly loves so much directx...
the force is strong...

so i tell you the basis of my opinion...
the basis are:
-time.
-money.
ps3 now cannot have good games in useful times.
and when they will arrive nobody can assure square enix or konami or capcom of earning due the installed base.
when ps2 arrived it' was the only(dreamcast was dying...and sega with it),and dvd was the only format.
ps3 instaed has wii as rival and 6 million x360 to reach...
bluray to large base consumers has more or less the appeal of hd dvd...
for large base consumers 1080p or 720p is not that difference(they rarely even notice a difference...)
ps3 has to fight on price with x360...
the situation is very different...
and this situation will affect also your beloved series...

but this FF is only one game...
how much they can count on Final fantasy fanboys???
they cannot count on them forever...
when nintendo started to lose core fan boys they "invented" the blue ocean...( and forgot core fan...and they will pay this)
now that this time arrived also for square...
KH is an answer...
KH has a good fanboy base...
but still KH is going multi...
sony cannot count on those fanboys...
