Stupid idea. Final Fantasy games have massive marketing budgets, so why would you release a only one version now and a port later, when you can save costs by marketing them both at the same time?

Others don't have a problem doing it.  Marketing cost isn't the issue.  If it was they would release the Japan version at the same time as the others.

How the hell would that have any impact on overall sales?  These people aren't going to buy it for both platforms.
