The thing is I'm tired of implications that they were lazy when the process required to remake every asset of the game makes being lazy impossible or the game wouldn't even run properly. But looking at your comments again I see you aren't really doing that.

I never said that the developers were lazy, nor the publisher, in bringing Chop Till you Drop on the Wii. Because the game is really great and it was well executed with their schedule and budget. It has very little bugs (you have to work really hard to see them :P) and the control mechanics work much better in my opinion than the original version.

The game could deliver much more if more time and budget were given to the development team to perform a similar process when the game was planned in the first place. But external factos like the original game released some good time ago and the sequel in current development it would be bad for the company to talk about Dead Rising 2 very shortly after the release of Chop Till you Drop. So no more time was given due for corporate reasons.

I can only wonder if the game was in development in paralel with the original on xbox 360, things would be so much different

Others did, here and elsewhere.

But as for the rest, those do look like plausible reasons they couldn't do everything, and they stated themselves that there would be diminishing returns past a certain point, so anything planned but would be the diminishing parts were likely dropped for those very reasons.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

"I asked about whether there would be a Call of Duty brand property or a Modern Warfare for Wii this year — given the million-plus sales of 2008's CoD: World At War on the Wii. An Activision rep in attendance confirmed that there are no plans for MW2 to come to Nintendo's system."

This might be the stupidest move ever by Activision.
NOW YOU CHOOSE NOT TO MILK A PRODUCT?!

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

At least now we know that it's not coming. I don't understand why they took so long to confirm it.

After reading through the Modern Warfare 2 Wii threads I'm sort of laughing at what I've seen in the comments. Comments like "It didn't get the first, so why should it get the second?" Now since it is confirmed that the Wii will be getting the first this November, it's pretty much inevitable that Wii owners will be getting the sequel sometime in mid-2010 (Spring/Early Summer). It's obvious Activision decided this because they want to get Wii players familiar with the story. You can't launch a sequel to a game first without having players see how you got up to the point you're at within the story. You are going to have to launch the prequel for that. And that's exactly what Activision is doing.

This was a conclusion of what Viper and myself came up with.
