Can't wait to play this on my Wii

I think it will come....eventually.

Unless they accidentally forgot to mention its on the Wii or its getting delayed or a last minuite port you wont be able to play it on the Wii.

^^ At this stage, despite hearing early news contradicting, I have to agree here. With the game due out in 6 months and NO news at all from Activision or IW, I'm doubting MW2 will hit the Wii. It would just seem weird to drop that bomb so close to the release date. If nothing is mentioned by E for All in October, that's going to be the last nail in the coffin for this rumor of a Wii version.

I think Bard is right folks. It's just been too long to see a Wii announcement. I mean for Activision and IW to skip on an announcement at E3 last month, I don't know what's going to happen. It might be scrapped, but who knows, Activision's acting just too shady.

As said before, it could be a sub-par port. Or maybe the Wii version is going to be like Call of Duty World at War: Final Fronts for the PS2. It has the same title as the other versions, just a little tacked on subtitle and a different campaign. Who knows?

Seriously, why is this even being tossed around in a serious way? Although I will admit upon seeing this thread I did have a weird thought pop into my head. There would be some sense in doing a Wii double pack for MW and MW2 in one, and just delay the game until after the release of the main game to iron out all the bugs and such not. I had a better explanation worked out in my head at one point, but I stopped caring enough to remember because it won't happen.

It might. If IW wants a double pack, and they need to release it early next year instead of the holidays, they would have to wait for an announcement until it's ready to show.

Modern Warfare 2 won't be on Wii. Their Engine does not use the Wii's capabilities yet

Do your damn research. It's using the CoD4 engine, which World at War used.

I am thinking the odds are against it coming to Wii. But the internets are perfect incubational areas of speculation. And the fact that people are responding to this thread shows some interest in the game.
