I can totally empathize. I've gotten into a lot of trouble, and headaches, by doing that myself.
Anyway, in the OP, I mention the reason I didn't put the pics up first thing. I wanted to be sure if I could put the pictures up here or on flickr.
Yet I have the village pics ready, and will post them shortly.

Okay, here are the pictures showing how much is rendered in the village. As in this is how much fits into the RAM of the GC, not couting the enemies.
Also, had to update the parameters. They're touched up brightness +40, contrast +40, and saturation +24.
Context helps. It would be best to post a video of Leon and Frank running around their areas, but it seems I need a much faster computer for that. But the screencaps work fine. Anyway, the full context of what I am showing won't be apparent to those who haven't played it. Then again, you should get a copy of the game anyway, if you have the right system.

That's the first six. I have 17, but I'm splitting them up into three posts.

The Entrance Plaza pics will come later. I was lucky with the RE4 pics, which I was able to group in three. The CTYD pics I have don't fit that way, so I'll have to do some more. But I have other pics I can take and show in the meantime.

Okay, here is the next comparison set.

Ground view is pretty terrible in DR. Otherwise it's on par.
However, the department where DR really is ugly and RE is not, is the effects and animations. It's just that RE is a high-budget, AAA game, and DR is a port that could have been better.

That's just one ground shot. I can do others. Probably a better ground comarison is the floor in the castle.
Also, of course DR CTYD could have been better. Anything could have been better. I still say that further HD to Wii ports had to start somewhere, and this game is important as it's the foundation to start looking at doing games of this scale on the Wii.
But I don't want to get off topic further. The Entrance plaza pictures for DR are being worked on, and I will take comparison shots of the 360 version soon.
