I cant for the life of me figure out how to get into the Sootopolis Gym.

I have been to the cave of origin.  There was no Pokemon there (from memory), just Wallace.  Some websites say to go south east of the city, but all I can find there is the Seafloor Cavern, which I could have sworn I have been in before.  Do I have to go somewhere else within it?

Are you at the part where Kyogre/Groudon are fighting in Sootopolis? If you are you have to go to the Sky Pillar and awaken Rayquaza

Go to a walkthrough it'll tell you verything and you need to get dive btw
