Forums - Gaming - I can't believe how some things are selling at this moment...

There are a bunch of games selling so well that never fail to shock me when I see them on the charts:

1.) Halo 3 - cmon, i know it's Halo, but isn't this taking it a little too far?

2.) Valkyria Chronicles - i didn't realize how much of an impact a little anime would do..

3.) Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - 3 mil + for a demo and still going?

4.) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - it's still selling 5 years later..

5.) Link's Crossbow Training - i know it's bundled with a peripheral, but are there really that many people using that thing?

6.) Monster Hunter Portable 2g - i didn't even know what Monster Hunter was before I saw this game chart like this.

And there are a bunch of games selling so badly that never fail to shock me when I don't see them on the charts:

1.) Resistance 2 - such a good game, yet such low appraisal..

2.) Star Ocean 4 - despite being on the 360 only, I thought it'd push a lot more than it did.

3.) Dissidia: Final Fantasy - it not even being anywhere in the Japanese charts is disturbing..

4.) Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - i thought that despite being on DS, the GTA name would carry it through.

5.) Sonic Unleashed - this was the final nail on the coffin for the Sonic franchise.

6.) Metal Gear Solid 4 - can't say I'm not disappointed that even the Platinum re-release didn't do anything for sales.

For me, the biggest WTF is Mario Kart. I mean, yeah, it's Mario Kart, but it's exploded far beyond my expectations. And it's still up there, in the top 5, every single week!

Considering that Mario Kart Wii is just so damn good and has Mario and has Wii in the title, it would be foolish to think it wouldn't be a chart topper for a long timer to come.

that's coz it's bundled with a wheel and it has mario in the title.

for 50 dollars (prolly cheaper now in most places), including a peripheral and a really famous game from years ago, plus having "mario" in the title, why wouldn't it sell?

KillZone 2 is the most shocking for me. Its having a hard time in North America where good FPS sell millions.

I didn't know there were still people that said this.

I'm more surprised by the legs on Professor Layton. That dude can run.

*cringes at Majin*...I cant believe San Andreas still sells unbelievable...poor Sonic :(

Halo sells well because its a very easy game to pick-up and enjoy. I know alot of people who don't play FPS but enjoy playing Halo 3 multiplayer. Link up 4 TVs and you have a great 4 vs 4 player game.

I am actually really shocked about Wii Fit. I know, Wii and Fit and peripheral. But at sucha high price tag, I did not expect those kind of sales. It will definitely pass the Gamecube in sales, and that is just ridiculous.
