This is the most flawed reasoning I've seen in this entire thread.  There's a reason those people didn't buy Gears 2, and it's because they simply don't care about it.  Also, you clearly haven't played Fable 2 or Left 4 Dead if you think Gears 2 was the only good game exclusive to the 460 last Christmas.

What was the "massive" price cut the PS3 had again in 2007? $100 off from $600 and $500? which left the PS3 at its (still) current price, whereas the 360 got a recent price-cut which put it well under the mass-market price (even below Wii). I don't see any logic in your reasoning (or understanding of the market).

EDIT:  the 360 at its current lowest price of the console market has done nothing but UNDERACHIEVE in sales.

looks like me and u are going to go at it this holiday season with are predictions

all i can say is that if the ps3 goes to 300$ and the pro is 250$ and arcade is 150$ the ps3 should be able to outsell it cause the price diff went from 100$ and 200$ to 50$ and 150$ very similar to 2007 and thats wen the ps3 beat the 360 for the holidays

the only way ur prediction will work is if the ps3 drops to only 350$ the 360 would have to do nothing price cut wise for the ps3 to outsell it then

There is no way to prove if 360 will sell half the number of consoles it did during the holidays without Gears 2. However, there is a way to prove the part in blue.

If holiday this year PS3 does not sell twice the amount of consoles it sold during holiday 2008 with 1. price cut and 2. FFXIII, GT5, and Uncharted 2 released, your theory would be proved wrong unless you suggest PS3 sells better with a higher price.

thats wat all the 360 fans thought wen i told them re5 on the ps3 will outsell re5 on the 360 1st day and by the end of 09 and we see how thats going and wen i said the wii will sell less jan to jun 09 vs jan to june 08 and we see how thats going also
