I'm a lefty, and it doesn't really bother me at all, aiming with the right hand.

The problem is neither of the following things, nor the combination of them

That you are left handed
That Metroid Prime is better for right handed people

The problem is that you are a left handed person who has always been forced to play using the same controller as right handed people, such that now when you are given a controller that works just as well for left handed people as right, you are unable to use it properly.

Fortunately, this problem (like all others) can be solved by a few days gaming. Simply beat MP3 with the wiimote in your left hand and by the end you will be able to do it easily

Well said, I pretty much agree with this completely.

And OP, do you generally hold the Wiimote in the left hand? Start out with a RTS, like Pikmin or LKS (or really any slow-movement game), and you'll get used to it. I damaged my right elbow pretty heavily a few months ago, so I turned over to using my left arm for the mouse (which made TF2 near impossible), and changing the Wiimote to the left (playing like a leftie).

I was surprised of how quickly it became natural with the Wiimote (the mouse took far, far longer time).

Honestly; both should be easy to learn. You have to choose, which would take less work to learn? Aiming with the "wrong" hand, or moving with the "wrong" hand? For learning the movement, go play an RTS or a different slow motion game. For learning the aiming, go play Wii play.

When I write Fact: in one part of the post, and opinion: (or a similar word), it's not because I can then say "my opinion can't be wrong". It is to inform what part is pure facts, and which part I try to draw a conclusion in.

Today I decided that I hate Metroid Prime 3 corruption. This make me sad, because I was looking forward to it more then any other 'Core' Wii game. Why do I hate it? Because I'm left haded, and aiming with my right hand is too akward. Switch hands? Then I'd need to use the anolog stick with my right hand and as someone who has been gaming since the 80's with the dpad/analog on the left side, using my right hand to control Samus is virtually impossible.

I think back to the fun I had playing Super Metroid on SNES and Metroid Prime on Gamecube and cant help but have a sense of remorse knowing I'll never enjoy what may have been one of the great games of this generation. Tomorrow I'll be trading it back to Gamestop feeling a little bitter. Only 10% of the population is left handed, why should Nintendo care? Well I guess some aspects of the Wii aren't as inclusive as Nintendo pretends it is. Even as Miyamoto is a lefty himself.

Anyway question to anyone who has played Madworld and No More Heros: Which is better? I'm planning on getting one after I trade in MP3.

Did I read this right?  You are just saying you don't like the IR Targetting.  You said that because you are so used to moving with your left hand and aiming with your right, you are unable to play any other way.  Yet, with the Wii targeting, your right hand doesn't have the strength and motor control to target.  How do you expect that to be fixed?  Make a game that uses the targeting to move and then the analog stick to aim?

From what I read, you just hate any game that uses the Wiimote to aim.

if you've played any similiar type of game in the past, youve had to make movements with left stick and "look around/aim" with your off hand using a right stick.

how can it be any harder to use the IR pointer to "aim/look" like using a mouse rather than fumble with an analog stick?  I think you've made a moot point, and that in your unwillingness to give some time to the ir pointer and get used to it you are going to miss out on an increbibly awesome game....well, thats just fail.

to verify my point...people that have come over and tried playing games like metroid and moh heroes had to take some time to get used to how the ir pointer works..but once a little time is spent, its spot on.  Point is though, they are right handed...and they still had to take some time to learn it.  have a left friend that aims with his right as well...and hes freakin good.

so, take some time to get the learning curve..because if you want everything to be pick up and play easy with no challenge...why play games to begin with?

I am most surprised at how many lefties there are on VGchartz ^_^

Thought I was like the only one. :P

I wonder how someone comes up with this kind of stuff. Maybe that's how Hitler was thinking about Jews?

I'm a lefty and I've never ever had any problems pointing at a screen with my right hand. Maybe you've got Pakinson's disease in your right hand?

Now that's just cruel...
