Forums - Nintendo - I hate Metroid prime 3 Corruption and other games that suck for lefties.

Hey I'm a lefty & my friend who is also a lefty got this game as well.

He loves metroid prime series & is extremely frustrated with this game because it's impossible for him to play with pointer on right hand. Analog is even worse like u stated.

It's a little annoying for me as well, but there is nothing I can really do about it, so I just keep practicing & now I'm pretty decent at it. Just think of it in a positive way, Nintendo is helping u become ambidextrous ;)

Lol I feel ya but to save money this generation I have been buying a lot of games. How does that save me money you ask? Well, instead of going out and spending $150 on booze and coke and women I stay home and play games. Weird yes I know.

Anyway I have a hard time justifying the extreme frustration of getting used to the controls of a single game when I have: Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, Bioshock, Final fantasy 10/12, Kingdom hearts 1/2, Super Mario Galaxy, Little Big Planet, Valkeria Chronicles, Guild Wars, Mario Kart Wii, MGS 3/4, Gears of war, Crysis, Super Papaer mario/thousand year door, Legend of Zelda Twilight princess, GTA 4/Chinatown Wars, Street Fighter 4 and Devil may cry 4; all begging to be played/replayed.

Update: I picked up Madworld, will tell you my impressions tomorrow.

Um, you do know you can hold the remote with your left hand...

I'm left handed and that's why I actually love shooters on the Wii.  Looking with your left hand feels much more natural than moving with your right thumb since you use the mouse with your left hand.

Just to try out what it would be like in your shoes i switched and played prime 3 pointing with my left hand and moving with my right.

Granted it was weird at first but after 30 minutes i was blasting space pirates with insane precision.

Question: Even though the arm canon graphic is on the right, why not just use the controller setup you are most comfortable with? The pointer will go to the same place whether you use right or left hands.

Other than maybe the first five seconds of the game I don't notice the right arm.  I don't really spend the game looking at the arm, I spend it looking at where my pointer is.

I'm left handed, keep playing you'll like it eventually.

The problem is neither of the following things, nor the combination of them

That you are left handed
That Metroid Prime is better for right handed people

The problem is that you are a left handed person who has always been forced to play using the same controller as right handed people, such that now when you are given a controller that works just as well for left handed people as right, you are unable to use it properly.

Fortunately, this problem (like all others) can be solved by a few days gaming. Simply beat MP3 with the wiimote in your left hand and by the end you will be able to do it easily

I sold it... :(

Got $10 bucks for it and picked up a new copy of Madworld for $20.

I write left handed but I pretty much do everything thing else with my right hand. So sorry can't feel you. Maybe you should just learn how to aim with your right hand. It isn't rocket science.
