Well, Guitar Hero IS a game for hardcore gamers, as well as a Street Fighter game... Play it on Expert mode and come back here. The fact that's it s mass appealing doesnt make it any less appealing to hardcore gamers : tournaments, teams, etc etc.

Also, "The Murasama Game" means the game made by the so-called creators of tOdin Sphere, meaning a niche Japanese Action RPG, with 2D beautiful japanese art style. Yeah, it's for hardcore gamers, and the fact that you never heard of it only show your ignorance on the subject.

 

What's true in your comment ? Just enjoy games and dont worry about people call them !

So wait, that makes it a hardcore game because it CAN be difficult? Hell, why not just call every game with varying difficulty and score levels hardcore? A person who has never played videogames could get into Wii Sports, but even a person who has been playing videogames for a long time and considers them a hobby would find it challenging to get all Gold medals. Speaking of Muramasa, if the thread creator remembered it so well, he would have actually wrote out the full name. And then there's "Mistwalker game." I mean, come on. And then you call me ignorant, which I guess is what a lot of people do when they're wrong and angry about it.

"Oboro muramasa youtouden" is not an easy word to remember for someone who's not fluent in Japanese, I guess.

Also, give me your criteria for a game to be core ?
Sells ? (Sold poorly ?)
Difficulty ? (Grandmother coudlnt play !)
Blood ? (Not for children under 21 ?)
Unknown ? Niche ? (Like Murasama ?)

Guitar hero is definitly a game for core gamers... Being playable by children, like Mario is, doesnt make it any less core.

Seriously Wii fans, just get over it. Core games aren't as successful on the Wii as the other consoles. So what? You didn't buy the console because you're obsessed with core games, right? The Wii generally targets another market/audience, and has done so with great success.

DJ MAX Portable can be also played by casuals, but i doubt any of them would make it up to 4th area in Clazziquai Edition(that is the most casual friendly DJ MAX game released so far) which cover like 20-30% of the game. Even Guitar hero on highest difficulty isn't as hard as this game.
