I only quoted this to tell you to edit CR-ROM playback from that list of firsts.

And while many will say NES or Playstation or even Wii, I will be different and say Nintendo 64. It may not have been a huge success, but there is a major influence that console had on all gaming today. It was the correct progression even though it was not a huge commercial success.

Nes in my opinion.Mainly because it saved the video game marked after the 1984 it establish Nintendo as a major force in video games and it introduced classic franchises such as "The Legend Of Zelda" and "Super Mario.Bros".The second one would be the ps1 since it expand the industry in a way the it include teenagers and gamers that had grown up playing video games.Making video games more appealing to all audiences rather than kids.It also introduced the CD(Unless you count the atari Jaguar".)And brought other FF games rather than just I and IV.

So many franchises were born on the NES...Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, MegaMan, Castlevania, etc..

Yeah, probably the NES. After that, I guess the N64. Most recent, Wii.

Don't forget Metal Gear, Contra, Gradius.

Wow I sound like a Konami fanboy.

Pixel Art can be fun.

SmokedHostage...actually, none of those 3 games were born on the NES...Contra and Gradius were first released for arcades, while Metal Gear first appeared on the MSX.

löl @ every1 who says Wii

How can 720p be considered HD when it looks like ugly snow grains on my 22'' screen?

If it wern't for the NES, video games diffenitely wouldn't be were it is today.

But then again if it wern't for the PS1 and PS2 the gaming world wouldn't be as big as it is today.

So either one.

NES.
