After watching the recent Uncharted 2 gameplay footage... I was not only blown away by how good Uncharted 2 looks...but I was blown away by how much the developers improved from the first game.

-Multiplayer is added, which will give a lot of replay value

-Stealth action...reminiscent of MGS. Looks amazing in the trailers.

-More blood this time around. It makes sense. Uncharted is not a little kids game. It needed blood, and Naughty Dog delivered.

-Fire and explosions look MUCH, MUCH better now. They looked cheap and almost Ps2ish in the first game.

-More interaction with the environment (Drake knocking a table over and then using it as cover. Drake jumping into the back of a pick up truck)

-More variety of enemies.

-The graphics look twice as good as the first game. And that's saying a lot, considering how nice the first Uncharted looked.

-The animations all look extremely smooth.

-You no longer have to shoot enemies 10 times to kill them. THANK GOD. It's more realistic now.

-You can now zoom in when shooting. This is a big time improvement from the first game, where you could not even zoom in while shooting.

What else did you guys notice that has been improved over the first game? What would you like to see improved that you didnt see in the recently leaked footage?

I think you said it all...well there might be some other improvements that we don't know off since we only saw a part of the game and BTW plz make the words a bit bigger kinda hard to read LOL.

I agree. The number of improvements has both suprised and pleased me. Uncharted was a great wee game; it appears Uncharted 2 is going to be awesome.

Anything you guys would've liked to have seen changed, that wasn't?

For me, the only thing is this: Bullets having trails on them. I know it helps show where the gun fire is coming from, but its unrealistic and I could do without it.

Regardless, 10 major improvements and 1 minor thing staying the same. I'll take that trade any day! lol

I hope the swimming animations are improved. Drake floated in the oddest way in the first game. And the screen tearing -- I hope that's eliminated.

As for things I wish were changed that haven't been: I can't say I've thought hard enough about it. I'm pretty happy with things as they stand.

Looks like

- you have better melee ability and options

- you have expanded combat options (the riot shield)

- you have expanded special moves - pulling the guy out the doorway, pulling the guy of the roof


Overall it looks like they took the first game as a base and really tried to add/expand a lot of fun stuff. That coupled with what looks like fun multiplayer options makes this look like a big improvement over the first.

I note that Nathan still 'catches' sometimes on a move and it can go a little funny, but then any game with complex geometry tends to have similar glitches so I guess you can only ask for so much.

I too would like to see less screen-tearing. It wasn't huge in the first but it was there and it would be nice to see it gone this time out.

That chick I see in the multi-player pics doesn't look as hot as the girl in the first game, though. Hopefully, she's evil and Drake has a new love interest that we haven't seen yet.

 Watch the Uncharted 2 gameplay footage. You can clearly see Zoom option is NOW INCLUDED in Uncharted 2 and it looks siiiick. Thank god they fixed that.

It does look like Naughty Dog have improved on every part of the first game, and given how much fun the first one is, that is saying something
