Forums - Gaming - Some bad feelings you have about upcoming games?

Heavy Rain -I think it'll be GREAT but I can't shake the feeling that it'll pull an Indigo Prophecy "ending'

M.A.G. -Something tells me it'll turn out to be a laggy, glitchy mess. I hope not though

Final Fantasy XIII -The story will be terrible. I REALLY hope not though. *cough* Final Fantasy XII *cough*........................right? Too soon? Should I remove that before I get flamed?

Uncharted 2 -The online won't turn out to be good. Not really worried about that though

Gran Turismo 5 -Sony won't advertise it. I doubt it though

inFAMOUS -It won't have much replay value after beating it..........Pfffttt, that's no problem for me though (11 days until you're mine)

Around the Network

Halo ODST: It will be more of the same

Uncharted 2: Killing army after army of the same 5 enemies, like the first game

Tony Hawk Ride: will be virtually unplayable for non-skaters

Heavy Rain: Too ambitious, to get everything right. Story MUST be good or everything else is wasted.

Batman; Arkham Asylum: may be tedious and repetitive

The only two I have a bad feeling about:

Alan Wake - might have a decent story and good graphics..but it doesnt look like FUN at all.

Heavy Rain - see above.

"I don't have time to play video games anymore, but if I did, I would definitely choose the PlayStation 3 instead of the 360" - President Barack Obama

FFXIII- I hope it's story isn't a pile of dung like XII's was. I agree with you there. FFXII was already a huge disappointment, they better not screw this up.

Around the Network

Heavy Rain: nice graphics, good story, Shitty gameplay

Fat Princess: it will really too much on team work and nobody has 31 friends to spare so you'll end up with a retarded team (like KZ2)

Bioshock 2: just the multiplayer announcement alone turned me off completely

Modern Warfare 2: will be COD4.5 which I didn't find that Awesmoenes and earth shattering like many people (liked Bad Company more) but still great shooter one of the best this gen

Bad Company 2: more of the bad stuff in the first one (starting to think that DICE have lost it)

MAG: just another shooter but with 256 players. The chain of command stuff works great on paper but in the game will be just run n' gun clusterfuck mess

Dead Rising 2: None killing zombies is always fun.

One of the first things David Cage made clear was that HEAVY RAIN WOULD NOT have an ending of such a bizarre nature

No need to fret about that.

@ Thunder: Bro, what would make the gameplay "shitty"?

tbh I don't know exactly but it won't feel right

will be something like home where your character doesn't interact with many things or jumps and you are restricted in a small corridor with very very liner path until you find something or someone and trigger a QTE sequence or something. The only relatively gameplay I saw was that E3 video and it was a QTE so I don't know

The story seems really interesting and deep and the developers have said that it was their number 1 focus which I don't blame them too many games these days with shitty stories or just generic been there done that

really waiting for E3 and HR videos so I can decide whether it's a buy or stay a way

 THANK GOD!!!!

Favorite films. Foreign films forever!

  • Heavy Rain -- Quick time event after quick time event?  No thanks.
  • Alan Wake -- the game has been in development for forever and we know nothing about it.  I doubt it's going to be anything special.
  • M.A.G. -- Ever hear that saying quantity doesn't equal quality?  Even if we assume that it isn't going to be a lag fest or look like crap (compared to everything else), does anyone really expect to get 256 players that don't act like idiots, rage quit, go cowboy, and do every other horrible online gamer personality trait?  It's going to be a giant clusterfuck.
  • Final Fantasy XIII -- SE stopped caring about the important things, characters, story, and music, a long time ago.  It's perfectly clear SE only cares about making the next Cloud and 10 years of spinoffs and not about making a memorable game.
  • inFamous/Prototype -- Both are more or less the same game and releasing right next to each other.  They will both eat each other alive no matter what the quality and sell only about as well as a mediocre exclusive.
  • Tony Hawk Ride -- Skating games aren't that huge and Activision really thinks now they can sell another one with an expensive perihpeal?  Get real Activision.
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum -- I was REALLY excited about this game when it was first announced but every time I see something new about it I get less and less excited.  The combat looks boring and the predator stuff looks incredibly repetive.
  • Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams Sea of Dreams Sea of Dreams Sea of Dreams -- I don't know, I loved Bioshock and I'll probably end up getting this one too but I just have this terrible feeling they're going to try and recreate the phenomenon of Bioshock again and just fail.  They probably won't do anything new and it will just feel like the same game with some new weapons.
  • Modern Warfare 2 -- I'm playing and loving CoD4 right now but I agree with everyone that says CoD4.5 and lets see if they can make another hit.  I'm sure the game will be good, I just don't know if it will be the same smash hit CoD4 was.
