True gamers keep their stuff. Don't wuss out and sell it unless you like loosing money.

You don't have to keep your stuff to be a true gamer.  If he was to keep his stuff then he would be a game collector.  Some people prefer to move on to other stuff.  If I was a game collector I would still have my PS1, PS2, Super NES, Gamecube, Wii, 360, etc. but I don't cause I don't have the time and space for all that stuff.

Sure old consoles take up tons of space who are you trying to fool.

I agree with d21lewis... wait until E3 to see if a surprise kick-butt game is announced. If you're still lackluster about the games after that, then I would sell it and buy more PS3 games.

Off topic.

Its hard to belive that the Xbox360 has more value than a DS and still both almost cost the same..

Have you seen the losses of the PS3? It's a sinking ship and it'll never make the losses back.

But if you don't want a successful console, might as well get rid of it.

Why should I care about the company making/losing money? All that matters is GAMES, and Ps3 has more that appeal to me (currently, and upcoming).

The original Xbox also led to huge losses for MicroSoft by the way. Funny how short ppl's memories are when their console of choice is in 2nd place. lol.

For the consumer its a fine console with a great library. But for Sony its a huge failure that wasted a lot of money. How much money can it lose before they throw in the towel?

I don't know why you're mentioning the Xbox. The console of my choice back then was the PS2. I never thought Sony could fail with their mega popularity. But I never thought they were dumb enough to make a console this expensive either.

At least wait until E3. Some awesome announcement could change your mind. Also make sure to at least rent a bunch of other games before you sell it so you don't miss out on those games forever. Like Beautiful Katamari. It would be a shame to have a 360 for years without even renting that game. There's a free demo you can download.

I rented Beautiful Katamari and played it for about an hour. Wasn't a fan of it.

Pretty sure there's a newer Ps3 version coming out soon anywas. Although I have zero interest in Katamari games right now.

Also, what could MS possibly have up their sleeve, that would make me want to keep the 360? I dont like RPG games, so Mass Effect and Fable do not interest me at all.

Alan Wake looks boring to me.

Ninja Blade and Halo Wars were both pretty bad games, and shows that MS doesnt have very high standards for their exclusives. (*forsee's someone replying with a comment about Lair or whatever)

Halo: ODST might be cool... probably the only game that I'm slightly interested in on 360, even though I wasn't a huge fan of Halo 3. I like the grittier approach they are taking with ODST.

You can get about $96 for the console + accessories at gamestop without the games. From a private buyer you might throw in the games and ask $150+.

If they cut the arcade price to $150 for a new unit, you're looking at closer to $125 from a private buyer with the games and accessories included/ ~$70 cash at GameStop with the accessories, but without the games.

Sony will not throw in the towel. They support their systems far longer than MS has. Heck, Sony is still supporting the Ps2.

I've thought about selling both my 360 and wii before. But then I think of the possibility of games in the future I could be missing out on and I don't really need the money. I rarely do play either of those consoles, but there is always the future. I definately want to cancel my xbox live subscription though but it's bs that I have to call them and sit on the phone for the hour just to cancel my subrscription.

Well you can't like it that much if you're thinking of selling it.  Enough said point proven.

Selling it doesn't mean he don't like it.  He just feels there's no more use for it to him any more.  Why keep something that you use any more?

For instance, I had a Wii and I had it for about 5 month's and only played it 1 month.  It been sitting in my closet for 4 month's so I sold it cause I wasn't playing it.  I was happy to sell it to someone that can make better use of it than I did.  I like the Wii but the games it have isn't in my taste but that don't mean I don't like the Wii.  If a game comes to the Wii that I got to play then I will buy another Wii.

Oh my god, do I really have to explain this to you?

The PS1 and PS2 were supported for a long time because they had incredible sales and actually generated a profit.

The original Xbox never made it out of red and the PS3 won't either.
