8.5-9.0 range is what i expected this game to come out to.

It seems like there are a lot of good games for the Wii, but none of them have really pushed the bar high enough to become 9.0 games.

The highest rated exclusive game ever made is Super Mario Galaxy.

What do you call Ocarina of Time then?

A game that's available on the Nintendo 64, GameCube/Wii disc, and Virtual Console.

I wouldn't count the Virtual Console as stealing exclusivity (for that matter most games lose exclusivity the second they hit an emulator), but I'll give you the Gamecube version. Well played. Still, I expect Super Mario Galaxy to lose exclusivity down the line in a similar regard.

Exclusively for N64.

Back to the topic at hand (which I started no less), I'm pleased with the score it was given. I'm disappointed with the total number of opponents (13.... compared to 11 in the original punch out and 16 in SPO) and wish there was more then one new character, but am very pleased with the additional hard mode provided for beating the game.

Should be a fun time.

played it this week. Not worth the full retail price, but it a good game.

Either good or bad reviews ,better use yourself to judge what game you want to play. :)

You use your money to buy it ,take your time to play it.So don't let these number force you to buy or not to buy games ,it just a guideline about what we can see in each game.

I can't wait to play Punch Out! now. (o^_^)O*

None of those negatives are really anything I'd ever think twice about, and the fact that I don't have to use motion control is a HUGE plus, in my book. I am hyped beyond belief for this game!

1 up gave it 10/10 - http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3174243

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

WTF I was expecting a 9/10 those idiots.

awesome score
