This question comes out of my playing Timeshift on the 360.  I picked it up on used clearance and figured I would play through it.  The game has a few hickups and graphic glitches.  Beyond this, it does strike me as fairly competently executed and immensely mediocre.  It is pretty look.  When I first tried it, I went, "Wow this is pretty competently executed".  So, I would say it is competely executed but mediocre, you remember playing?

EDIT: I guess call this an "IKEA moment" with a videogame.  It would be akin to setting up a piece of IKEA furniture and feeling it is not too bad.

Empire: Dawn of The Modern World, pretty Mediocre. Nice looks, but fell short in comparison with AoE or even Empire Earth,

Kung Fu Panda, it came bundled with the Pro 360

visually it was really good I was surprised tbh and the fighting was tight and nice although I only played it once and that's it

Ragdoll Kung Fu O.o nothing fan-diddlytastic but good all the same.

Any games impress you (I mean as in positive) by their sheer mediocrity? Like you went "Wow, I am surprises, this is an amazingly competent, but unspectatular game"?

Ready 2 Rumble Revolution, i waited for long for this game but when I watched... A total dissapoint, but when tested, was tottaly worts than the looks.

Control response really bad, combos inexistence.
Music and presentation pathetic.
