Funny how they felt the need to include such a risky new technology despite it sky rocketing their profit margin to high heaven! Perhaps sony felt they needed to.....'make-up for some lacking 'areas'?????? IDK..........yhuu tehll me mister megacompadre

I think you are mistaking bluray for your failed HD-DVD add on and RROD.

I haven't seen anything that just like Uncharted - Killzone, MGS or LBP done any better on any other console - that why I bought one - If the PS3 didn't have blu-ray then games like MGS4 wouldn't be possible without multiple disks - A ps3 with no blu-ray would just be a xbox at a more expensive price - blu-ray is what made me buy one and without it all the third party ps3 exclusives would be multiplatform as their would be no 360 restricting it

... ok, game is awesome but all this crap about hardware capabilities is getting old... Game looks like GTAIV with some cool electricity effects. That's all.  AFAIK there is GTAIV on 360.  End of the story.
