The developers have already explained this in countless interviews. The game will not be all quick time events. THe game's real gameplay is surrounded by the ability to interact with anything and everything. Each particular object in the game has been modeled seperately and is fully intereactable in some way shape or form. The game is suppose to be able to react to what the gamer's own personal plan of action would be. If you tried to open the front door and it was locked, you can go around back, grab a trashcan, then use it to boost you to a window for safe entry. This is the type of game Heavy Rain will be. THe plot has not been revealed in any shape or form, but my geuss is that is will be grand in it's execution. THe hard part for this game, as impressive as the game visuals are, is not it's graphics. It is the tedious and calculating process of being able to react with EVERYTHING. THIS is why the game pushes far beyond what he 360 is capable of. |
I hope it turns out to be what you are describing, so far I've been let down quiet a bit when it comes to the promises of the PS3(I don't think the 360 is better, but Sony and their exclusive devs promised so much,) I haven't seen any title that's truly impressive to me so far. I hope it will turn out well.
