@slimebeast this was years ago. If you read the whole thread you'll find out that it was due to technical obsticles that they went exclusive.

WHOA WHOA WHOA SLOW DOWN! A Sony developer said something isn't possible on the 360?

Well then it must be true. No doubt about it. Forget the fact that he has never worked on the 360 or ported the game to the 360 and is bias to the PS3(no duh), if he says it then its true, just like Lord of the Rings is based on a true story and Terrorists don't use bombs, they use the can-can dance.



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Decided not to jump on the original comment till i got one of these, um actually if a developer decided to base a game directly around the 360's console, using minimum the graphics card to its full potential, the ps3 and "teh core" would have a hell of a time try to match it. The crysis demo was probably the best example of this. The developers said that the 360 could do certain bits better, and the ps3 could do other bits better, unless the ps3 was better alround then yes in fact there is things that the 360 can do and the ps3 cannot.

It works both ways.

oh and @cgi quality. The xbox 360 has 512 mb gddr3 ram clocked at 700 mhz


while the ps3 has 256mb gddr3 ram at 700 mhz and 256 mb xdr ram clocked at 3.2ghz .. So yeah the xbox 360 shares ram but the ps3s ram is technically superior.

Ok Mr Technicality.......

Several developers said they found the 360s usage of it's RAM to be superior, that's why I put "proclaimed".....

Regardless, I'm glad somebody saw that I said what he wanted me to say, even though, it proves NOTHING!!!

 

that is because they can use any of those 512 megabytes for the gpu basicly. You'll mostly hear this with people who haven't worked on the spus because they don't know they can use them to support the gpu. It's also because the more powerful ram the ps3 has is it's processors ram. In other words while the 360s gpu potentially has up to 512 mb gddr3 ram. The ps3s "only" has 256. However ! It can use the processor for rendering making that limit irrelevent and none existant.

lol and it really does seem like garnett has some beef with you :p

Umm...the biggest technical game on the 360 is Gear of War 2...and the Unreal Engine runs on the PS3. Try again
