A 32-bit OS installed on a PC with 4gb of ram will work, but it won't utilise the total 4gb as it will limit it to only 3.2gb. Thats because the 32-bits can only address 3.2gb of RAM maximum. 64-bits obviously doubles the size and if you are familiar with the binary system will allow a much larger range of addresses to be used. I am not sure on the limit of ram on a 64-bit system, but I have heard they can go up to 128gb.

i think they shoud drop 32 bit and start making games and everything in 64 bit.. though.. you would get a huge benefit out of it

go for something better like a 9800gt or gtx.   you can get a hd4850  for $100 now which is way faster then 9500 gt

Well, it's a significant difference. It's 3 1/4, not 3 1/5. 51.2MB of RAM more. =p

 

And it makes better sense why it'd be cut off at that point, too.

These are my only 9 series choices, at least from new egg, with a PCIExpress x16. All others seem to be the newer PCIExpress 2.0 version which I don't think my mobo can do. I'll have to double check that.

newer cards will still work with your mobo  there backword compitible.  pcie 2.0 just has a new bandwidth spec.  i wouldn;t get anything slower then a 9800/4850.   For like $30-60 more dollars you get somethings thats twice as fast
