Awesome! MGS4 deserves it, and some. The game should sell more when it goes to platinum and or Exsistance. Konami would be very happy with SONY.

MGS4 has been Platinum for a good while now. 

Not in Japan or America.

I would comment on this matter and my feelings about the number that this site has for sold to consumers, but I'm not exactly the most objective person on the subject as you can tell by my name and avatar so I will refrain until more information/updates.

For Konami's financial report:

The METAL GEAR series steadily increased its sales, with total units of this series sold surpassing 4.75 million worldwide.

These numbers are not just for MGS4, they are for all the games in the series that were shipped in the reporting perriod.

And what, do you think, is the percentage of those shipments that were MGS4? At least 95-97%.

And how many other games in the series are still in print? And how many copies of those games do you really think were shipped. They don't print MPO anymore. MPO+ I believe is still in print, and the metal gear solid essential collection is the only other one I think is still in print. But how many of those do you think were really shipped?
