What is so bad about being whitebread? I don't know if the cool thing right now is to act black (low hanging pants, freaking loud ass rap music, talking in ebonics) but alot of white people don't want to be white. I mean, what's so bad about it? It's not like we don't have culture (thousands of cultures actually) and a rich history that spans every continent on the globe.

Sure, we have alot of bl- uh, er dark marks on history (such as the genocide against the native americans, the jews, the enslavement of africa, and some middle eastern cultures being the worst IMO) But shouldn't we be proud of the many other things? Science? Agriculture? Exploration? Lifestyle? Victories? Ancestors?

For the sensitive out there, I am not saying white people have to act a certain way, or that all black people embrace any stereotype, but I just wish more white people would just like being white......... Or just act white (there I said it).

Well I am so white I glow and I'm damn proud of it.

I'm proud of being intelligent and relatively well-informed. I think being proud of your race is kind of dumb frankly. Its like being proud that you were born with brown hair.

Now, being proud of the culture that your race produces is somewhat different because you can at least actively contribute and engage with that, but that's something else.

Well, being proud of race can be equal to being proud of your ancestors in a way though, so It also has a great deal to do with culture, IMO.

I think white people (especially white girls) are awesome. I only hate it when they try to act urban or are REALLY racist. Aside from that, you guys are cool.

I'm black, and my biggest gripe with my people are that many of us have to be "cool" all the time. I prefer when people are themselves. All of that slang, material possessions, and "I'm a victim" mentality really turns me off. I'm still proud of my race, though.

And in all honesty, my inner circle of friends is like a Nickelodeon TV show. I hang out with blacks, whites, and hispanics and I'm comfortable with em all.

I'm proud to be white but with the music and clothing, its all about the generation. Just like back in the 70s it was disco type shit. This generation is just like that i guess

I'm not really picky with girls though, they just have to be good looking, talkative (because I'm quiet mostly), and uh, actually like me (the basis for any relationship, no?). Although I am so shy that I don't put myself out there to meet new people, so I don't have much experience in this department.

I feel no particular pride or shame about my ethnicity. As for my country of origin... really nothing either.

Neither my culture nor country seem to do anything that another country or ethnicity wouldn't do in it's place so there is no room to feel pride or shame about it in particular vs any feelings i'd globally have about the world.

I like white people more visually. I think they look better. I mean nothing racist by that... I think white people look better than other races, the same way I think black hair looks better than other colors. So, yes, I am proud to be white.

American... What's there to be proud of in that? It says nothing about me personally. What does 'american' imply?
